I Just got home from Florida not to long ago, it was a blast, made some awesome new friends that will last a lifetime. Rolling into town on Thursday we stopped off at B.C. Racing headquarters in Orlando, there we met up with Reese’s old friend Chelsea Denofa, he hooked us up with some new shocks and springs for the car. We through them on the next day because we really wanted to enjoy Florida, we got to go eat awesome food and meet up with a load of Drifters for some go kart racing, We met Kelsey Rowlings and Pat Goodin, both are tire slayers and hold it down for Florida. Can you picture 12 of us on a drift cart track? It ruled… Friday morning came around and we had the car in the air to swap suspension, we went to the track to dial in the car noticing the grip levels were insane. We were fighting with the car being extremely loose in the front so we did as best we could with no sway bar and got Reese feeling very comfortable in it. The Nexen n9000’s were really performing well at 0* Camber in the rear, it really gave us the ability to chase and pull in on cars in an instant. I have to say spotting and being a mechanic is awesome, it’s nice to see your work give a positive reaction. The best part of the weekend for me was watching Kelsey and Reese tandem practice that night, the lighting and surrounding made it perfect. That night we took all of our information and set it for the next day. After some dinner Reese and I went for a bike ride through downtown Orlando and got home around 3am. It made me fall in love with that city. It’s so small but so hype, it’s strangely addictive. The event rolled around the next morning and we went straight into tandem practice, we got hit and it really added some toe to the car, it wast good, it was crab walking the car, so after a quick fix we got it to probably 70% it was fighting us on our entry for sure, slowing us down and reducing angle. Qualifying came and I wanted Reese to perform a solid run, nothing that would cause him to drive so aggressive that the cars injury would be against us. He nailed the speed bubble and clipping points but the angle and impact were lacking. His second run was better until he had a re-initiation bobble on clipping point after the entry, the rest of the run was on point, compared to everyone else I expect a 60, but it didn’t… This gave us a zero. After qualifying I immediately protested with other drivers and proved my argument to the judges besides the impact judge jodin lejeune. We had our differences and I was being as professional as possible, but then he got loud and immature with me, we were ready to pay the protest, which is basically a re-score fine but I was accused of being late. Lots of words were exchanged and today, Jodin Lejeune was fired from SWD by his performance with the spotters and drivers this weekend. In the end it didn’t even matter, the event was canceled and at this point I wanted to know why they called Pat, “the king of spring break” that night we went to the bar and shit got weird fast. It was awesome to just hang out with everyone after a long day and dance, drink and cause mayhem in Orlando. I just want to go back and party!! View high resolution

A clip from the weekend

How awesome is this picture? Two people that definitely bring the heat to CLUBLOOSE. US DRIFT round one was this past weekend and we finished 4th! Awesome. Awesome photo by Liora. I hear it was an awesome event with Reese and Geoff and many more putting on a clinic. Next up for us if Florida! View high resolution

This is it, next week is go time. The team has been doing the simple stuff to get the car done. We’ve been having our “one week before race panics” but are handling them fine. I can’t wait for the ride. I know Mike is worried about a bunch of dudes in a truck together but in my head I’m saying “try going on tour in a 90’s Honda crv with no A/C and five dudes who forgot what a shower was sitting in equipment” it’ll feel like a hotel for me. This past weekend was Clubloose’ Spring Moves. It was our last chance to test the car before competition. We had some more power, less camber, less tire pressure and other suspension changes to promote forward bite, traction and control. We had a good morning but noticed the temperature gauge was not working correctly. We agreed hot lapping was not allowed and the car got to an unsafe temperature. Thank goodness it held up no problem. We also had electrical issues that we fixed the day after the event. This is why we test, to break the car and make it better so it won’t happen in competition. Above is a picture out good friend Mike Griffith took featuring Reese and Eric o’sullivan. View high resolution

We have been so busy at One Motion lately. No time to post, I’ve been fabricating some cool stuff lately. Here’s some wheels for you Internet kids to drool over. They are awesome, and surprisingly lite! View high resolution

America fucking rules… We are a nation made of craftsmen, machinists, honest labor and hard work. It’s a shame I can’t say that about people today, I wish everyone had a relative who served or a relative who had a job in a factory. Just so they understood why people are proud to live here. Now I see dudes from the ghetto rob old folks homes in the suburbs. What a shame. I wish the lazy people would work more jobs and try harder instead of collecting welfare. I would like to see a hard working industrial America, full of welders, and kids who know the difference between a flat head and a philips head screw driver. Go trade. Go hard work.
